Dutch film historian Egbert Barten will provide details about the role Alfred Greven, Generalbevollmächtigte fùr den Film in West-Europa, played in the film industry in nazi-occupied The Netherlands. Special mention will be given to the New Order film firm Nederland Film, established by Egbert van Putten in The Hague in 1941 This film company produced documentary shorts and animation films. Special mention will be given to the antisemitic animation film VAN DEN VOS REYNAERDE (directed by Van Putten, 1943) that was made by some 40 artists there. This infamous 10 minute Agfacolor-cartoon of Disney-like quality will also be shown when the panel time allows it.
