Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv

The filmarchive is a division of the federal archive (Bundesarchiv). Since 3 October 1990 the national filmarchive of the GDR has been incorporated into the Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv. With that it became one of the largest filmarchives worldwide and the central German filmarchive.

The headquarters of the Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv is in Berlin. All non technical and filmhistorical departments and all departments dealing with archive users are also in Berlin.
